Advanced Equities Plaza is a great example of this. Two years into the financing, leasing, design, land assembly and entitlement process, 9/11 occurred and caused a dramatic market decline. Lankford remained steadfastly committed to what would be the first Class A Office building high-rise to be built in Downtown San Diego in fifteen years. To ensure that the project was built, Lankford slightly adjusted the design and total square footage to respond to financing requirements and market conditions, and successfully completed construction in 2005.
