(Residence Inn/Springhill Suites by Marriott)

Developed by Lankford & Associates in partnership with Hensel Phelps and Portman Holdings (as Lane Field San Diego Developers), construction of the Lane Field North Hotel Project began in May 2014 and the completed dual-branded Marriott hotel opened for business at the end of February 2016 as the SpringHill Suites & Residence Inn San Diego Downtown/Bayfront.

Developed by Lankford & Associates in partnership with Hensel Phelps and Portman Holdings (as Lane Field San Diego Developers), construction of the Lane Field North Hotel Project began in May 2014 and the completed dual-branded Marriott hotel opened for business at the end of February 2016 as the SpringHill Suites & Residence Inn San Diego Downtown/Bayfront. An official ribbon-cutting ceremony was held on April 7, 2016, and was attended by City of San Diego Mayor Kevin Faulconer, City of San Diego Councilmember Todd Gloria, Port Board Chairman Marshall Merrifield, and executives from Marriott and Lane Field San Diego Developers. A month later, the adjacent Lane Field Park – also developed by Lankford & Associates and partners- opened to the public.

The dual branded hotel consists of a 253-key Springhill Suites by Marriott and a 147-key Residence Inn by Marriott, 8 event rooms with a total of 11,397 s/f of meeting space, a fitness center and a heated outdoor pool. With sweeping views of the bay and San Diego’s skyline, well equipped rooms and meeting spaces as well as top notch amenities, the hotel offers guests and visitors a unique and beautiful way to experience the city.
